If you work a 9–5 and are struggling to find time to write every single day, this article is gonna give you a slap in the face.
First, tell me this.
Do you wake up early in the morning?
I know the answer.
You don’t.
Because if you do, you can easily write and publish an article.
So stop lying and start waking up early.
Write first thing in the morning — this is the first strategy.
Now the second strategy is…
After coming back home from your office, you turn on Netflix and convince (lie to) yourself that “you’re tired.”
I’m not perfect. I have done that too.
But one day, I decided to try something different.
Instead of turning on the TV, I quickly freshened up, asked my mom for a cup of coffee, opened my laptop, set a timer for 1 hour, and started writing.
Do you know what happened?
I wrote and published an article.
Then I was left with so much time to do other things.
So I read a book, went for a walk, and journaled.
It’s like a domino effect.
When you do one productive thing, you’ll automatically do many productive things.
Start doing this from today: Before you step into your house, tell yourself the next 3 things you’re going to do.
1) I’m going to quickly wash my face and change my clothes.
2) Make a cup of coffee for myself.
3) Write for an hour.
You can also do this in the early morning.
Before you go to sleep. Write down the 3 things you’ll do after waking up.
My new morning is:
1) Drink half a bottle of water and wash your face.
2) Put on the shoes and hit the gym.
3) Write for an hour.
You’re not lazy. You just lack clarity.
Even when you’re stuck in a rut and don’t know what to do.
Just write down the next 3 things and start doing the first thing immediately.
I call this strategy: The Next 3-Steps.
Also, you have been programmed for so long by your parents and others that when you come back from work, “you’re tired”.
But that’s actually not true.
You’re not tired, you just believe you’re.
Change that belief.
You have the energy.
You can do more in a day than most people do in a week.
Remove all the beliefs that are limiting you.
I think I’m drifting towards a completely different topic now.
So let me stop here.
From now on, don’t say, “I don’t have time to write.”
Because you fucking do.
