So many people start writing online after seeing others making money doing it.

But the thing is…they quit soon.

They write for a few weeks, see no result, think that writing is not for them, and quit.

But no, I’m going to give you the exact number, it’s 365 days.

And you must write CONSISTENTLY. No skipping.

There is no way you’ll end up not making even a dollar after writing every single day for 365 days.

It’s just impossible.

How are you saying this with SO much confidence?

It’s because of the following 3 reasons:

1) Your writing skills will improve

The reason most people struggle to grow an audience is because their writing sucks. IT. JUST. SUCKS.

And if you don’t want to be writer who sucks then you need to get better.

How do you get better?

By reading books? Not really.

By actually writing every day.

That’s the true way to improve your writing (or any skill, for that matter).

The piece you write 1 year from now will be FAR better than the piece you write today.

You’ll not suck forever if you show up every day and write.

Because your brain is an amazing device. It adapts to your needs.

If you show up every day and write, your brain will be like, “Ooh, this guy is serious about this writing thing, he is doing it every day…Maybe I should make him better at doing this thing.”

Just write every day and see yourself improve.

As you write, people are going to read your words and follow your work.

And building an audience is like the most important, I mean the MOST IMPORTANT thing anyone in this world can do right now.

Because if you have an audience, you never have to worry about making money.

Once you grow an audience who loves to read your words…

You can make money from the platforms you are writing on.

Medium is a paying platform.

X is a paying platform.

And even Instagram Threads has started to pay its writers.

In the upcoming years, more and more platforms will be created for passionate writers to make a living just by typing words on a keyboard.

You can also create digital products like eBooks, Notion Templates, Guides, etc, and sell them to your audience via Gumroad.

You can create a paid SubStack newsletter and make recurring money from that.

But the first step to all of this is to start writing.

So instead of scrolling on Instagram and wasting your time on Netflix.

Start writing.

3) You’ll get more opportunities

I started off by writing articles about Python and Machine Learning.

I was not expecting anything from it. I was just doing it because I loved it.

And one day, I got a message from a guy asking me to build a trading bot using Python.

I was shocked.

Why is this guy asking me to build a trading bot?

I didn’t understand that at first because it had never happened to me before.

After some months, I understood.

He messaged me because, as I published articles about Python and Machine Learning every day, he read my articles, saw my competence, and understood that I am good at Python. So he gave me that opportunity.

But back then, I thought it was a scam and didn’t take that opportunity.

I regret that now. I could have earned $5000 if I had done that for him.

It’s okay. What I want to convey here is…

As you write, as more people read your work, some people want to work with you.

They will come to you. They will reach you through comments and DMs and offer you money to do something for them.

This will not happen if you don’t put yourself out there and write every day.
